As the NHS works to realise the ambitions set out in the government's long-term plan, Independent Healthcare Providers are playing an increasingly important role in supporting and strengthening the system. From expanding care in the community to accelerating access and embracing innovation, IHPs are making a significant impact where it matters most.
IHPs bring agility, expertise and a commitment to delivery that makes them essential partners in building a more sustainable and integrated future for healthcare.
Now in its second edition, the HSJ Independent Healthcare Providers Awards, held as part of the HSJ Partnership Awards, celebrate the best of this work. The awards provide a national platform to recognise excellence, share success and highlight the growing role of IHPs within the NHS’s transformation journey.
The HSJ Independent Healthcare Providers Awards are judged by senior NHS figures, including many trust and ICS executives. HSJ’s unparalleled reach into and standing among NHS leaders ensures the shortlisted and winning entries are acknowledged by those with the greatest influence.
Why should organisations enter:
Shortlisted entries feature in the dedicated HSJ Independent Healthcare Providers Awards e-supplement published on hsj.co.uk
Entrants must be independent healthcare providers that offer services free at the point of care to NHS patients, in any setting. Projects can be conducted independently or in collaboration with an NHS organisation. While a partnership with the NHS is encouraged, it is not mandatory. However, all projects must serve NHS patients and provide evidence from the past two years up until the awards deadline date. For specific eligibility per category, please check our categories page.
The Independent Healthcare Providers Awards winners are automatically shortlisted for the wider HSJ Awards programme - providing a second chance to win, and even greater exposure.
