Alex is the Director for Transformation Strategy, Finance, and Delivery, responsible for setting the overall strategy to transform the NHS through technology-enabled change and aligning the national investments to deliver it. He has a particular interest in the alignment of financial and policy levers, and how regulation can be used to drive change. He was formerly Chief of Staff at NHSX, the joint unit of NHS England and DHSC, and before that worked in central government in roles ranging from emerging technology policy to investment in the national road networks. He spends his free time boxing and hiking.
